Miami Place, continues east through all of SW 6th Street and SW Miami Ave. Road until
it reaches the S. Miami Ave. overpass. The area consists of a 2-lane bi-directional roadway in need of
beautification and Greenway Path implementation to complete a portion of the Miami River Greenways
Project across Miami-Dade and the Miami River corridor.

Proposed drainage improvements were focused on SW 6th Street where the proposed sidewalk
widening required relocating and replacing the existing catch basins. A section of French drain was
designed along this corridor to provide water quality treatment and to improve the existing drainage
condition of the project area, especially the intersection between SW 6th Street and SW Miami Ave.
Road. The amount of French drain provided does not comply with the 100% of DERM requirement due
to conflicts with several existing utilities in the area, however in addition to the French drain, pollution
retardant baffles were proposed in all control structures prior the connection to existing outfalls to
improve the quality of the water discharged into the Miami River.

My evaluation for this project is as follows (based on scale of 1-10):
. Suitability of the methodologies and approaches used in achieving tasks
. Overall organization to completing the project
.
