<br />\ 60 percent submittal will be addressed or incorporated,
<br />as appropriate and directed by the City, by K&S in the
<br />90 percent plan submittal. Comments on the 90 percent
<br />submittal will be addressed or incorporated, as appropriate
<br />and directed by the City, by K&S in the 100 percent plan
<br />submittal. Comments on the draft 100 percent submittal
<br />will be addressed or incorporated, as appropriate and
<br />directed by the City, by the K&S in the final deliverable 100
<br />percent plan submittal.
<br />
<br />The 100 percent submittal will include the following:
<br />
<br />. Electronic files (AUTOCAD, .pdf, and as appropriate
<br />Word .doc) for the construction plan set and Technical
<br />Specifications.
<br />· Five (5) complete plan sets for the Project signed
<br />and sealed by the engineer(s) of record (note: each
<br />drawing is to be signed and sealed).
<br />· Final Engineer's estimates of probable construction
<br />cost for the Project.
<br />· Technical Specifications and Request for Bid (RFB)
<br />Preparation. As appropriate, K&S, in coordination
<br />with the City, will prepare an RFB document with
<br />all the Technical Specifications, including proposed
<br />pay items, necessary for the proper construction of
<br />the Project. The Professional Engineer in responsible
<br />charge of preparing the Technical Specifications for
<br />the Project will affix to the cover sheet of the final
<br />construction specifications for the Project, the firm's
<br />name, his/her signature and registration number as
<br />a Professional Engineer in the State of Florida, in
<br />accordance with state law governing Professional
<br />Engineers. The format for Technical Specifications
<br />will follow City standards necessary for the proper
<br />preparation of an RFB to be released by the City to
<br />secure construction services for the Project.
<br />
<br />PHASE 11/ - CONSTRUCTION SERVICES
<br />
<br />Pre-Bid Conference - K&S will attend the pre-bid
<br />conference with City staff to answer technical questions the
<br />prospective bidders may have regarding the bid documents.
<br />If required, based upon inquiries from prospective bidders,
<br />K&S will prepare support materials and assist the City
<br />in preparing addenda clarifying the bid documents for
<br />distribution to prospective bidders. If requested by the City,
<br />K&S will assist the City in the review and evaluation of the
<br />bids.
<br />
<br />Pre-Construction Meeting - K&S will attend the pre-
<br />construction meeting scheduled by the City with the
<br />successful bidder.
<br />
<br />· Review of Shop Drawings - K&S will review and, as
<br />appropriate, comment on and approve shop drawings
<br />submitted by the contractor.
<br />· Construction Management and Survey Services - K&S
<br />may be asked to provide survey and construction
<br />management services necessary for the successful
<br />construction of the Project. As needed, a separate
<br />Work Order will be negotiated for these services.
<br />. If only periodic site visits are needed, no separate
<br />Work Order will be necessary and is hereby included
<br />in this Scope of Work. As requested by the City,
<br />K&S will make periodic site visits to the Project
<br />Sites (generally on a weekly basis) subsequent to the
<br />contractor's mobilization for the purpose of making
<br />limited site observations and to answer questions
<br />the City's construction supervisor and/or inspector
<br />may have regarding the Project's design. K&S will
<br />promptly notify the City's Project Manager, in writing,
<br />of any discrepancies or deviations from the approved
<br />plans or environmental permits for the Project noted
<br />during site visits.
<br />· Substantial Completion Inspection - K&S will
<br />participate in the Substantial Completion inspection
<br />of the Project with City staff. K&S will also prepare
<br />and submit a list of items, which need to be completed
<br />by the contractor prior to final inspection.
<br />. Final Acceptance Inspections and Project
<br />Certifications - Upon completion of construction of
<br />the project, K&S will participate in a final inspection
<br />of the Project with City staff. Based upon the final
<br />inspection and construction as-built drawings
<br />provided to K&S by the City, K&S, as appropriate,
<br />will prepare record drawings depicting the as-built
<br />condition of the Project. It is not anticipated that
<br />K&S will be responsible for performing the as-built
<br />field surveys for the completed Project. K&S will
<br />submit the final Project completion certifications for
<br />the Project required pursuant to the environmental
<br />permits issued for the Project.
<br />
<br />GENERAL ADMINISTRATION
<br />
<br />Progress Meetings - As requested by the City, K&S will
<br />attend up to five (5) progress/review meetings to be held
<br />at the City's Office. K&S will keep minutes of progress
<br />meetings and will distribute copies to all attendees within
<br />five (5) working days after the meetings. The minutes will
<br />reflect agenda items, action items, those who will provide
<br />follow-ups, the original schedule, the current schedule, and
<br />how delays, if any, will be addressed. K&S will prepare the
<br />necessary agenda for each progress meeting.
