<br />In 2009, for the third year in a row, we took home a Best
<br />Places to Work Award at an event co-sponsored by Polk
<br />Works Workforce 2020 and the United Way of Central
<br />Florida. In 2007, the Florida Chapter of the American
<br />Planning Association selected one of our planning projects,
<br />the South Miami-Dade Watershed Study and Plan, for
<br />its prestigious FAPA Award of Excellence; McGraw-
<br />Hill Companies, publisher of Business Week Magazine,
<br />selected K&S as one of the Southeast's Top 50 in Design;
<br />and Engineering News Record named K&S one of the
<br />nation's Top 500 engineering firms, for the fifth year in
<br />a row. The year before that K&S took home two of the
<br />twelve Best in Construction Awards given out by the
<br />Florida Transportation Builders' Association, a 73-year old
<br />non-profit organization that many consider "the voice" of
<br />Florida's road and bridge building industry.
<br />
<br />K&S is also dedicated to giving back to the communities
<br />that it serves. It the past five years, K&S employees have
<br />raised over $60,000 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society
<br />(LLS), mentored at risk high school students, and supported
<br />the annual Dolphins Challenge Bicycle Ride. This year,
<br />alone. K&S's team for the annual LLS Light the Night walk
<br />collected over $15,000 to help fight cancer. Overall, our
<br />team ranked third out of the 200 Broward County teams
<br />that participated in this year's event.

<br />Civil Utility & Stormwater Engineering Services
<br />
<br />As one of Florida's largest engineering consulting firms,
<br />K&S provides a wide range of services to a significant list of
<br />Private and Public clients. We take pride in our reputation,
<br />long established relationships, knowledge of regulatory
<br />requirements, and diversity of project experience; the tools
<br />which enable us to successfully meet the needs of our
<br />clients.

<br />Building upon strong relationships, K&S provides services
<br />to a number of Counties, Municipalities and Drainage
<br />Districts throughout the State of Florida. Our services
<br />include storm drainage design/retrofitting, stormwater
<br />permitting and certifications, water analysis and master-
<br />planning of stormwater/drainage, water distribution
<br />and sewer collection systems as well as design of over
<br />half a million linear feet of utilities improvements, large
<br />transmission mains, lift stations (design/re-habilitation) and
<br />related construction observation.

<br />Our Water Resources group offers hydrologic/hydraulic
<br />analyses for site specific flood (drainage) studies to
<br />more complex large watershed stormwater management
<br />programs. We use a variety of software including HEC-HMS

<br />Our Private Sector resume includes a list of well-known
<br />private land development projects and clients; both
<br />commercial and residential. We provide a variety of services
<br />to these clients including preparation of DRI's, master
<br />planning, site plans, water, sewer, and drainage design, due
<br />diligence studies, permitting, and construction observation
<br />for projects ranging from 2-acres to 5000-acres.
<br />
<br />From large modeling and masterplans to specific
<br />construction documents and inspection services, our full
<br />array of Civil Engineering services provides the versatility
<br />required to adapt to the diversity of project needs and
<br />objectives for both our municipal and private clients.
<br />
<br />StormwaterlUtility Permitting Services
<br />
<br />Aside from the need for responsible budgeting and
<br />adequate funding, nearly every project undertaken also
<br />requires some form of permitting, whether it is local, county,
<br />State or federal. So, in addition to providing clients with
<br />practical advice regarding grant monies that can be utilized
<br />to add value to their projects, we also provide them with
<br />engineering consulting services in the area of permitting.
<br />We have considerable experience in these matters, having
<br />worked in numerous counties throughout the State of
<br />Florida, on projects involving all levels of government.
