Grandinetti, Police Captain <br /> <br />2/16/2012 <br /> <br />Approval to Purchase Eight (8) Dodge Chargers and One (1) <br />Dodge Durango Police Vehicles and associated equipment not to <br />exceed $324,416,85, <br /> <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br /> <br />It is recommended that the City Commission adopt the attached resolution <br />authorizing the City Manager to purchase eight (8) Dodge Chargers and one (1) <br />Dodge Durango Police Vehicles and associated equipment not to exceed <br />$324,416,85 <br /> <br />REASONS: <br /> <br />The Sunny Isles Beach Police Department rotates a portion of the police fleet <br />annually to assure the safety and reliability of its equipment to our officers, These <br />nine (9) vehicles will be purchased from Maroone Chrysler Dodge of Pembroke <br />Pines under the Florida Sheriffs Association, Florida Association of Counties & <br />Florida Fire Chiefs' Association's Contract Bid # 11-19-0907, The associated <br />equipment will be purchased from various vendors as a result of a competitive <br />bid process and / or a piggyback contract. <br /> <br />FUNDING SOURCE: <br /> <br />Funding for eight (8) the above vehicles and associated equipment totaling <br />$284,831,60 were budgeted and are available under General Fund, Capital <br /> <br />http://sibagenda. si bfl,net/ agenda/Preview ,aspx?I temID=703 &MeetingID=O&MeetingDate=", 2/8/2012 <br />
