Sister City
programs increase global cooperation, promote cultural understanding, and stimulate
economic development.

The City is currently matched with Netanya, Israel and is now looking for additional
Sister Cities to join with. Representatives from Taormina, Italy and Trouville, France will
be visiting Sunny Isles Beach to meet with local representatives, learn about our city and
determine if they would like to become Sister Cities with us. Representatives from our
city will also visit these two cities to determine if they are good matches for us. The
approximate cost of each trip should not exceed $10,000, for a total not to exceed of
$30,000.

FUNDING SOURCE:

Upon approval of the budget amendment resolution, funding will be available in account
number 10-511-5542

ATTACHMENTS:

.

Resolution

Date

1 DL-
"3-\tS-\~

Agenda Item

http://sibagenda.sibfl.net/ agenda/Preview .aspx?I temID=734&MeetingID:
