Last night we had a wonderful meeting with all of the members of
the Ocean Rescue Division both full and part timers and we went over what the expectations
would be and what we thought of the transition. The main reason he brought it up is that
there were several recognitions given to Susan Simpson during the evening. Our Ocean
Rescue Division is considered the best in our County and that is due in large part to Susan's
efforts who built this Division from scratch, and Police ChiefMaas gave a history last night
of how the Ocean Rescue Division came to be. Tonight he just wanted to acknowledge
Susan's efforts and thank her as she passes the baton to the Chief for building such an
incredible organization. Mayor Edelcup and the Commission congratulated her.

Commissioner Scholl moved and Vice Mayor Thaler seeonded a motion to approve the
resolution, Resolution No. 2012-1867 was adopted by a voice vote of 4-0-1
(Commissioner Aelion absent) in favor.

lOB. They provide our
City Planner with backup and training consultation for our site plan applications. They do
not however have expertise in landscaping, and in order to enhance the skills of our Planner,
we felt it prudent to contract with a landscape architeet. The lion share of the fees involved
in the contract before the Commission is reimbursable by the developers that come forward
for development projects in the City. We only have one non-reimbursable item that we want
to bring before this landscape architect and that is to have them review the frequency
specifications and other items related to the City-wide landscaping contract.

Public Speakers: None

Commissioner Scholl moved and Commissioner Gatto seconded a motion to approvc the
resolution.
