The objective of this <br />project is to develop a tool for estimating the <br />operations and maintenance (O&M) costs of <br />restoration configurations. The client capitol cost <br />estimating team is developing a Microsoft Access <br />database to facilitate rapid construction estimates <br />as configuration details are developed. The effort <br />will develop a similar database that would extract <br />configuration data from the construction details <br />input sheets for estimates of the O&M costs. <br /> <br />City of Margate Bridge Inspection Study and <br />Design of Repairs, City of Margate, FL - Project <br />Manager responsible for ADA compliance report, <br />project management, preparation of inspection <br />reports, and development of plans for the design of <br />repairs for deficiencies on 7 bridge-culverts and 2 <br />pedestrian bridges. <br /> <br />Golden Gate Parkway (CR 886) Improvements; <br />Collier County Government; Naples, FL, USA-- <br />Structural Engineer responsible for the design of a <br />10 x 10, 3 barrel box culvert. Also responsible for <br />calculations of quantities, cost estimates and <br />OA/OC. The project included widening the existing <br />roadway from four to six lanes, over a project length <br />of approximately 2 miles. <br /> <br />Structural Engineering Services on an Annual <br />Basis; Palm Beach County; Boynton Beach, FL, <br />USA--Structural Engineer responsible for shop <br />drawing review for bridges over the E-3-1/2 and E-4 <br />Canals. Project consisted of design and <br />construction plans for widening of approximately <br />1.8 miles of existing four-lane divided roadway to a <br />six-lane divided roadway. Scope of services <br /> <br />included overall roadway and drainage design, <br />roadway pavement markings and signage design <br />and widening of two existing bridges. <br /> <br />G161 Phase 1; South Florida Water Management <br />District; North Palm Beach, FL, USA--Lead <br />Structural Engineer responsible for coordination <br />with local agencies during the study to determine <br />permitting requirements, project implementation <br />strategies with involved agencies, and impacts to <br />other projects in the area: planned, designed, or <br />under construction. Also contacted local utility <br />companies to identify potential conflicts with <br />possible discharge route alternatives. This study <br />considered methods of routing water from the City <br />of West Palm Beach Water Catchment Area to the <br />mouth of the C-18 canal. The Phase 1 portion of <br />the project involved gathering survey and geo tech <br />data, and initial coordination with all stakeholders. <br />Phase 2 included an alternatives study that <br />considered a cost comparison of different <br />alternatives. Issues examined included utilities, <br />permits, maintenance of traffic, and considering the <br />special interests of stakeholders. <br /> <br />G311 Redesign; South Florida Water <br />Management District; Palm Beach County, FL, <br />USA--Structural Engineer responsible for <br />performing OA/OC for drawings and calculations. <br />Updated the design and contract documents of a <br />previously designed bi-directional 3-bay spillway <br />structure at the western edge of ST A 1-E. <br /> <br />Retaining Wall; City of Vero Beach; Vero Beach, <br />FL, USA--Project Manager responsible for wave <br />analysis, rip-rap design, landscaping, and <br />permitting. Responsible for preparation of <br />construction drawings for the construction of a rock <br />revetment and associated site work to protect an <br />electric substation. Previous storm events <br />contributed to erosion along the shoreline adjacent <br />to Electrical Substation #11.
