<br /> <br />Flamingo Elementary School <br />llialeah, Florida. <br /> <br />The 24,000 square feet addition to the existing School <br />,includes a new Media Center, Administration, <br />IGuidance, (2) Resource Rooms, (2) Itinerant Rooms, <br />Music Lab, Art Lab, Science Lab, Computer Lab and <br />a PE Shelter. The entire scope of work was grouped <br />into one main building in order to minimize cost and <br />maximize land area. The new covered walkway was <br />designed as a focal entry point to the new building <br />also serving as the required covered walkway to the <br />existing kindergarten building. <br /> <br />As part of the site development a new parking lot was <br />provided for the new construction and the existing <br />parking was completely remodeled. The PE Shelter <br />was located on the North side of the site allowing for <br />joint use of the public park. <br /> <br />The existing Media and Administration Suite was <br />remodeled to include (4) Bilingual Resource rooms <br />for a total of 3,000 square feet. The teachers lounge <br />was renovated to include new HlC Bathrooms.
