Materials (masonry, wood, metal): Concrete deck on concrete piling for pier with composite <br />reinforced PVC railing. <br />Porches, Steps, and Stairways: Not applicable. <br />Painting and Finishes: Yes. <br />Additions: Not applicable. <br />Demolition: This project calls for the demolition of the Pier and its restaurant and its <br />replacement with a new Pier and restaurant within the same footprint of the <br />original Pier. <br />B. Environmental Features: <br />Landscaping: Not applicable. <br />Tree Removal: Not applicable. <br />Excavations (trenching /footers, swimming pool, etc.): <br />Concrete piles will be driven into the ground to minimize the impact of <br />construction in the beach area. <br />Fence Construction: There will be a construction fence located in the beach area during <br />construction. <br />Walls: Not applicable. <br />C. Overall Description of the Project (Please explain the chronology of the work <br />involved and describe all new construction excavation, demolition, and relocation <br />that will be required. Describe how the building or property will be used upon <br />completion. (Use the back of this sheet or another sheet if needed.): <br />The Pier, located at 16701 Collins Avenue, was originally built in 1936 and has long <br />been a major attraction for local residents and tourists.
