Calvin, Giordano & Associates, Inc.
E X C E P T 1 0 N A L S 0 L U T 1 0 N S
R
STAFFING
Project Manager Experience
Section
3
The Calvin, Giordano & Associates (CGA) team will be lead by Jeffery Maxwell,
PE, PTOE, who will serve as project manager and dedicate up to 50% of his time
to the City of Sunny Isles Beach. Mr. Maxwell is a hands -on manager with
extensive experience serving municipal clients throughout Florida as well as
Colorado, Arizona and Nevada. He has been working in the transportation -
engineering field for over 17 years.
Some of his current responsibilities include serving as the City Traffic Engineer
for the City of Weston and providing project management to CGA team members
serving FDOT District 4 and the St. Lucie Transportation Planning Organization
(TPO). He also currently serves on the Technical Coordinating Committee of the
Broward County MPO.
Team members assembled for this proposal have worked together under the direction of Mr. Maxwell on
numerous recent traffic engineering and transportation planning projects. His team currently oversees the
reviews of traffic studies and site plans on behalf of the City of Weston, City of Homestead, Town of
Surfside, City of West Park, City of Greenacres, and the Town of Loxahatchee Groves. Where appropriate,
associated concurrency management systems are updated as well.
In addition, his comprehensive technical knowledge and capabilities, Mr. Maxwell is highly skilled in
assisting jurisdictions in obtaining regional and federal grant money for transportation projects. As
municipalities cope with shrinking revenues, the ability to identify and secure alternative funding sources
is becoming a necessity to ensure that residents continue to enjoy the level of service to which they have
become accustomed. Most recently, Mr. Maxwell has been instrumental in obtaining the following grant
awards:
• N.W. 116th Avenue Corridor Study for the Town of Medley
Grant source: Miami -Dade MPO Municipal Grant Program
• Collins Avenue Median Improvements for the City of Sunny Isles Beach
Grant source: FDOT Local Agency Program (LAP) funds
• Saddle Club Road Intersection Improvements for the City of Weston
Grant source: FDOT LAP funds
• City -wide Bus Shelter Construction Program for the City of Weston
Grant source: FDOT safety funds
RFQ #12- 04 -02, Traffic Engineering and Transportation Consulting Page 311
