City of Sunny Isles Beach ∙ RFQ No. 12-04-02 – Planning & Urban Design
2-21
NORTH SHORE URBAN DESIGN/ENGINEERING/CONSTRUCTION
ADMINISTRATION, MIAMI BEACH, FL

Client: City of Miami Beach
1700 Convention Center Drive
Miami Beach, Florida 33139
Joyce Myers
Tel.: 305.673.7550

Completion: 2003

Project Description:
Corradino was tasked to work
with the North Shore
neighborhood in developing
appropriate urban design,
context sensitive design and
streetscape plans that would
enhance the historic character of
the neighborhood. This is done
with an Urban Design Review
Committee which contained
experts from a variety of fields
including Transportation Planning,
Urban Design, Urban Planning,
Traffic Calming, Engineering,
Architecture, and Construction
Management.

Upon approval of the urban
design plan, various elements will
be sent to design. Design &
Construction Documents are
reviewed by the Urban Design Committee eight times to assure the initial
integrity of the plan is maintained. The project then goes to bidding and
construction. This effort coordinates a myriad of disciplines from planning
through implementation and coordinates them with city, council, and state
agencies as well as the public.
