The firm has continu- ally demonstrated its ability to manage cost and quality and continues to receive high marks from its work with Miami -Dade County Public Schools. The firm is continuously evaluated by the school board and for the last three years the firm has re- ceived a 4.8 average out of a possible 5.0 for its quality of work. The firm also received a perfect score (4.0) on a performance evaluation from Mi- ami -Dade County GSA for its work on the new Fleet Shop Maintenance Facility. Ability to Perform the Work to Meet Schedule With a breadth of resources under one roof WA is able to adhere to any schedule mandated by the City. WA has a history of strong performance level for on- call /term contracts for public agencies along with the ability to complete numerous projects, including simultaneous project assignments. The firm has held successive term contracts with the Miami -Dade County Public School system since 1991. In that time we have performed literally hun- dreds and hundreds of assignments for M -DCPS. WA's success is based on both the hands -on ap- proach taken by the principals and associates to- gether with the integration of its disciplines in the delivery of successful solutions. In addition, all projects are subjected to a rigorous in -house Quality Assurance /Quality Control Program that spans the life of the project. It is this constant at- tention to client and project needs that has re- sulted in WA's proven track record of consistent on -time and within - budget project delivery. In addition to ensuring that the City receives the benefit of our inspectors' experience during con- struction observation, our construction phase per- sonnel can attend preconstruction conferences and regular project meetings, and provide review and approval of pay estimates and all other activi- ties required to ensure that the City achieves well coordinated construction of the proposed improve- ments. Adding Value to the Project Value Engineering is a process used during many design efforts to analyze the capital and operating costs of the facility based upon some level of de- sign detail and will be a one of the primary strate- gies employed by the team to add value to the project. The individuals on the team bring specific experience and knowledge related to the equip- ment required in these types of facilities, as well as the functional requirements of work areas within the facilities. Additional services and fea- tures WA will provide the City include providing alternative designs, open specs, solicitation of input with vendors and sub - consultants.
