In 2005 -2006, the Big Cypress Basin developed a Stormwater Management Master Plan for the Immokalee area at the request of Collier County through the consulting engineering firm H.W. Lochner, Inc. Mr. Robert Ross, P.E. worked as the primary project engineer of the consulting team. Mr. Ross (presently President of Ross Engineering, Inc.) worked closely with the Big Cypress Basin office to complete in developing a successful Stormwater Management Master Plan for the Immokalee urban area. During the project his responsibilities spanned project management, performing modeling analysis with Dr. Fernando Miralles- Wilhelm, P.E., and providing conceptual alternatives to alleviate the deficiencies in flood control and water quality protection for the Immokalee area. He attended the Immokalee Master Plan and Visioning Committee and BCB Board meetings with the team, where the project was discussed in detail with the stake holders in the area. Mr. Ross demonstrated excellent qualitative and quantitative approach of stor-mwater management problem solving. The successes of his efforts are reflected in conceptual design solutions to be implemented for the benefit of the public. The project was completed to our satisfaction and the budget and schedule was kept on track throughout the project with no need for any additional service agreements or change orders. We would not have any hesitation in recommending Mr. Ross for providing Stormwater management planning and design on any future projects.
