- City of Sunny Isles Beach Construction Management Services <br />For Gateway Park - RFQ No. 12 -06 -01 <br />City of Orlando Community Venues Program <br />Client: City of Orlando <br />URS Role: Owner's Representative <br />Program Value: $1.2 billion <br />Performance Period: 2007 - 2012 <br />Description of Services: Since 2007, URS has served as the City's Owner's Representative for the <br />management of the design and construction of these highly visible Orlando venues: the Amway Events <br />Center, the Dr. P. Phillips Performing Arts Center, and the renovation of the Citrus Bowl stadium. This is <br />the largest public building program in Central Florida history. <br />Our owner's representative services include representation of the City pertaining to: design management, <br />construction management, contract reviews and negotiation assistance, design reviews, master <br />scheduling, cost verifications, design issue research and resolution, utility project coordination, <br />coordination of other related infrastructure and parking projects, QA/QC inspections, construction <br />observation, change order /claim reviews, and project close -out. <br />Completed in 2010, Amway Center is a $480 million <br />public /private redevelopment project including a new <br />20,000 -seat, 875,000- sq. -ft. sports and entertainment <br />arena with supporting office, retail, parking, public plaza, <br />infrastructure and surrounding streetscape improvements <br />encompassing 20 acres. Located on historic Church <br />Street in downtown's entertainment district, Amway <br />Center opened in October 2010 on time and within <br />budget, as the new home of the NBA's Orlando Magic. <br />The Dr. P. Phillips Performing Arts Center project is <br />nearing design completion. The full project scope features a <br />new four - story, 400,000 -Sq. Ft. performing arts center with <br />three venues: a 2,700 -seat hall for large -scale productions <br />and concerts, a 1,800 -seat hall for local performing arts <br />groups, and a 300 -seat hall for small performing arts groups. <br />The Center is being designed to achieve a LEED <br />certification. <br />"URS has proven itself to be a very capable owner's representative, with strong leadership in assisting <br />us in managing our design reviews, MWBE compliance effort, and project status." <br />- -- Mr. Tim Ackert, Project Director <br />City of Orlando Community Venues Program <br />UM Section 2— QUALIFICATIONS 12 <br />
