We would like to express that we are pleased <br />with the way The Weitz Company has performed through the first <br />half of their project. Currently The Weitz Company is the CM at <br />Risk for our new Regional Park Phase II (park and recreation <br />facility — (2) swimming pools, (2) baseball fields, concession & <br />restroom building, parking and landscaping). The contract value of <br />this project is over eighteen million dollars. <br />The project commenced in July 2006, and The Weitz Company is <br />currently on schedule to complete within the contract completion <br />deadline. In addition the project is projected to be within GMP <br />budget with savings to be returned to the City at the end. <br />A few key points I would like to mention regarding how The Weitz <br />Company has managed this project. In addition to the Owner / <br />Architect / Contractor Meeting we require every two weeks, The <br />Weitz Company has an additional Executive Meeting once a <br />month where the Construction Manager : sets aside time <br />to discuss items which require additional attention to ensure owner <br />satisfaction, quality of construction and effective project <br />management. During construction The Weitz Company has used <br />their construction expertise to overcome dewatering requirements <br />needed to install an Olympic size swimming pool in undisturbed <br />coral limerock and effectively manage the varied subcontractors <br />needed to perform this project on schedule. <br />I recommend The Weitz Company for any project you may have. <br />Should you have any questions or wish to discuss this matter any <br />further, feel free to contact me at any time.
