" "y Or SUN P" <br />Contractor shall operate the facility a minimum of 56 hours per week except for a holiday as <br />authorized by the City (New Year's Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas). Any changes in hours of <br />service (other than those dictated by emergencies) shall be made with prior approval by the City. <br />Successful contractor shall have access to check and respond to emails, at least 3x's a day, <br />morning, afternoon and late PM. Fine tuning to maximize revenues and minimum costs must be <br />an ongoing priority. It shall be recognized that City budget decisions may reduce or extend <br />operating hours. <br />3.4 PROTECTION <br />3.4.1 The contractor shall be solely responsible for City vehicles and equipment while in their <br />possession for maintenance and /or repairs. <br />3.4.2 Vehicles left at contractor's facility during non - business hours to complete service must <br />be stored in a secure area. <br />3.4.3 All minimum safety standards required by Municipal, County, State and Federal <br />ordinances and laws shall be strictly met by the contractor. <br />3.5 ESTIMATES <br />Bidder shall provide written "not to exceed" estimates on any repair. The estimate will include the <br />estimated number of hours, hourly rate, estimated material cost and completion date. It will be <br />the bidder's responsibility to ensure they have all the equipment and materials to provide <br />accurate estimates. No work shall be performed by the contractor before authorization is <br />provided by the City's Fleet Manager or designee. <br />3.6 HOURLY RATE <br />The hourly rates quoted shall include full compensation for labor, equipment use, and any other <br />cost to the bidder. <br />3.7 QUALITY OF PARTS TO BE FURNISHED <br />Parts furnished to the City shall meet or exceed the quality of the parts furnished originally for <br />the equipment (OEM). However, if the original manufacturer has updated the quality of the parts <br />for current production, parts supplied under this contract shall equal or exceed the updated <br />quality. Failure to provide items of such quality will be cause for rejection and / or return of said <br />item. The burden of proof and cost of analysis will be the Contractor's. There will be no reboxing <br />of pa rts. <br />Rebuilt / remanufactured parts will have been dismantled and reconstructed as necessary: all <br />internal and external parts cleaned and made free from rust and corrosion; all impaired, <br />defective, or substantially worked parts restored to a sound condition or replaced with new, <br />City of Sunny Isles Beach I Request for Proposal No. 12 -05 -02 11 0 <br />
