Sanders, Director of Public Works <br />DATE: 7/19/2012 <br />RE: Resolution approving an Interlocal Agreement Between All Co- <br />Permittees Named in National Pollutant Discharge Elimination <br />System (NPDES) Permit No. FLS000003 -003 and Miami -Dade <br />County. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />It is recommended that the City Commission adopt the resolution approving an Interlocal <br />Agreement between all co- permittees named in National Pollutant Discharge Elimination <br />System (NPDES) Permit No. FLS000003 -003 and Miami -Dade County. <br />REASONS: <br />This Interlocal Agreement will provide for the performance of professional services by <br />Miami -Dade County, and also between all Co- Permittees providing for identification and <br />control of pollutant discharges in a shared municipal Separate Storm Sewer Systems. <br />The parties will agree that the EPA is requiring as part of the NPDES MS4 Operating <br />Permit the sampling, monitoring, and analysis of a variety of storm sewer systems <br />throughout Miami -Dade County. <br />This agreement shall become effective and supersede the current Interlocal agreement on <br />October 1, 2012 and shall expire on September 30, 2017.
