RESOLUTION NO. 2012 -_ A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING AN EXPENDITURE IN THE AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED THIRTY - FOUR THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED SIXTY -THREE DOLLARS AND NINETY -FOUR CENTS ($34,363.94) EXTENDING THE AGREEMENT WITH SFM SERVICE, INC. FOR LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE SERVICES FOR ONE MONTH; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THIS RESOLUION; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City is in need of a contractor to furnish all materials, equipment and labor for landscape maintenance services in the City of Sunny Isles Beach until the vendor is available on September 1, 2012; and WHEREAS, on January 20, 2011 via Resolution No. 2011 -1665 the City Commission awarded RFP No. 10 -11 -01 and entered into an Agreement with SFM Service, Inc. to provide Landscape Maintenance Services; and WHEREAS, the City now wishes to extend the Agreement with SFM Service, Inc. for one more month, in an amount not to exceed Thirty Four Thousand Three Hundred Sixty -Three Dollars and Ninety -Four Cents ($34,363.94) to provide services on a unit price basis for Landscape Maintenance Services. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Approval of Expenditure. The City Commission hereby approves the expenditure in an amount not to exceed Thirty -Four Thousand Three Hundred Sixty -Three Dollars and Ninety -Four Cents extending the Agreement with SFM Service, Inc. by one (1) month. Section 2. Authorization of Cijy Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to do all things necessary to effectuate this Resolution. Section 3. Effective Date.
