RESOLUTION NO. 2012- 19 (e I <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br />SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, RATIFYING A CONSTRUCTION <br />AGREEMENT WITH THE FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF <br />TRANSPORTATION (FDOT) FOR THE INSTALLATION OF A <br />DEMONSTRATION SECTION OF STONE THERMO SET <br />CROSSWALK MATERIAL AT THE INTERSECTION OF COLLINS <br />AVENUE AND 178TH STREET, ATTACHED HERETO AS EXHIBIT <br />"A"; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO DO ALL THINGS <br />NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THIS RESOLUTION; PROVIDING <br />FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />WHEREAS, the City Commission wishes to improve the aesthetics at the intersection of <br />Collins Avenue and 178th Street; and <br />WHEREAS, the City of Sunny Isles Beach wishes to enter into a Construction <br />Agreement with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) to install a demonstration <br />section of stone thermo set crosswalk material at the intersection of Collins Avenue (SR AlA) <br />and 178th Street; and <br />WHEREAS, the City Commission wishes to enter into an Agreement with the Florida <br />Department of Transportation for the desired work at the intersection of Collins Avenue and <br />178th Street, at no cost to the City, attached hereto as Exhibit "A ". <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br />CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, AS FOLLOWS: <br />Section 1. Ratifying Approval of Agreement. The City Commission hereby ratifies approval <br />of the Construction Agreement between the City of Sunny Isles Beach and the Florida <br />Department of Transportation for the installation of a demonstration section of stone thermo set <br />crosswalk material at the intersection of Collins Avenue (SR AIA) and 178th Street, at no cost to <br />the City, attached hereto as Exhibit "A ". <br />Section 2. Authorization of City Manager., The City Manager is hereby authorized to do all <br />things necessary to effectuate this Resolution. <br />Section 3. Effective Date.
