Grandinetti, Police Captain <br />9/20/2012 <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />RE: Authorization to expend up to $35,000 annually with Lou's Police <br />Distributors, Inc.for the purchase of police department uniforms <br />and accessories. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />It is recommended that the City Commission adopt the attached resolution <br />authorizing the City Manager to approve the expenditure of budgeted funds in <br />the amount up to $35,000 (Thirty -Five thousand dollars) annually to Lou's Police <br />Distributors, Inc. for the purchase of new and replacement uniforms and <br />accessories for all uniformed employees of the Police Department. <br />REASONS: <br />The need to purchase and replace uniforms worn by officers and civilians <br />representing the Police Department, has necessitated that we utilize a vendor <br />who has a local facility and stocks uniforms in quantity to serve the department's <br />needs. <br />Lou's Police Distributors, Inc. stocks recommended uniforms and styles utilized by <br />our department.
