Visible weeds shall be removed by hand before the <br />base reaches more than one inch in diameter. <br /> <br />3.8 MOWING, WEEDING AND CLEANUP <br /> <br />All mowing waste shall be removed and properly disposed of from curbs, gutters, and general site. <br />Weekend and holiday mowing is not allowed unless specifically authorized in writing by the City, <br />however, cleanup, as defined in these specifications, is required. The Government Center and <br />School shall be mowed only on Saturdays. Wind-row mowing patterns are not permitted. <br /> <br />The Contractor shall edge, as required, to maintain a neat, clean appearance to maintain the shape <br />of planting beds as originally designed. <br /> <br />The Contractor shall hand pull weeds in shrub and ground cover area, as needed to maintain a <br />clean appearance, apply approved herbicides, as needed, to control weeds in sidewalk, curb, catch <br />basins, and gutter areas, haul away all trimming debris from site, and properly dispose of at <br />Contractor’s expense. Empty and dispose of contents of all trash cont ainers on a daily basis, <br />including weekends and holidays ( Unless otherwise noted elsewhere in the RFP). The Contractor <br />is responsible for disposal of all trash in accordance with Federal, State and local regulations. <br /> <br />For clean-up, the Contractor shall use a mechanized leaf vacuums to remove all debris from all <br />walks, drives, roads, and pedestrian areas, as often as requested by City, shall remove all excess <br />soil, trimmings, debris, and equipment from site after each visit. All debris removed from the Cit y of <br />Sunny Isles Beach is to be disposed of at an EPA and State of Florida approved dumping site, at <br />Contractor’s expense. <br /> <br />3.9 RECURRING MONTHLY SERVICES <br /> <br />The services listed within this section are services to be conducted on a routine schedule that will <br />be determined by the City. This section is to include the supplying of all necessary materials, <br />supplies, labor, equipment, fuel, and other miscellaneous necessities to fully maintain the general <br />condition of the Cities <br /> <br /> Section E: Parks <br /> Section F: Right of Ways <br /> Section G: Beach Accesses <br /> Section I: Parking Lots <br /> Section J: Government Facilities <br /> <br />This work shall include, but not be limited to, weeding, mowing all grass such that it never exceeds <br />4 inches in height under normal conditions or 5 inches in height under drought conditions (Unless <br />otherwise noted elsewhere in the RFP), irrigating (including the full maintenance and repair of the <br />irrigation system itself) all landscaped areas, maintaining and replacing (if necessary) any plants <br />lost due to negligence of the Proposers, and sweeping or vacuuming sidewalks. The proposer will <br />be responsible for the supply and installation of all irrigation materials necessary under this item. <br />
