3.3.10.1.4.2.4 Carpet blowers may be utilized to reduce drying time. <br /> <br />3.3.11 Background Checks and Fingerprint scanning <br /> <br />The successful proposer and all personnel employed by them shall be required, at <br />their sole source cost and expense, to pass a criminal background check prior to <br />award of the contract, and every renewal term. The Criminal background check <br />shall consist of a Florida Department of law Enforcement ("FDLE") Florida Crime <br />Information Center National Crime Information Center ("FCIC/NCIC") criminal <br />records check. Any employee not meeting this requirement will not be permitted to <br />work at The City of Sunny Isles Beach. The successful Proposer shall be required to <br />co-ordinate the criminal background checks by contacting Human Resources at <br />305-792-1708 <br /> <br />NOTE the vendors employees shall not be cleared to work on city property until <br />they have passed all background tests. No personnel from contractor performing <br />services under this agreement shall be allowed on City property until the entire <br />background check and finger print scanning is complete, and proof of such <br />background check/fingerprint scanning is provided to the City. <br /> <br />3.3.12 Identifying Employees and Employee Vehicles <br /> <br />All employees on City property must wear clearly identifiable shirts with the <br />company name with or without logo and all vehicles must be clearly identified with <br />the company logo and a unique vehicle # when parking on City property. <br /> <br />3.3.13 Penalties <br /> <br />The winning vendor should take pride in the quality of work provided, therefore <br />The City of Sunny Isles Beach plans to implement a strike system that will result in <br />a penalty fine when an issue is brought to the vendor’s attention and continues to <br />occur. The first time an issue occurs the vendor will be notified in writing and the <br />issue must be corrected within 48 hours of receipt of notice. The second offense <br />also will be documented in writing and a meeting will take place between the <br />vendor’s representative and the City representative to discuss the current and past <br />infractions. At the time of the meeting the vendor will be required to present a <br />written corrective action plan to address the City’s concern and how they plan to <br />correct the issue within 48 hours of the meeting. The third strike for the same issue <br />shall result in a penalty of $300.00 each time the same problem reoccurs.
