Guarantee sod for period of three (3) months after date of substantial <br />completion. <br /> <br />B. Repair damage to other plants during sod replacement at no cost to the <br />OWNER. <br /> <br /> <br />PART 2 PRODUCTS <br /> <br />2.01 MATERIALS <br /> <br />A. Sod <br /> <br />1. Grass Species is to be Stenotaphrum secundatum - St. Augustine <br />“Floratam”, or approved equal. <br /> <br />2. American Sod Producers Association (ASPA) Grade <br /> <br />a. Use nursery grown or approved equal sod. <br /> <br />3. Furnish sod in pads of the following dimensions: <br /> <br />a. Length: twenty-four (24) inches plus or minus five (5) percent <br /> <br />b. Width: sixteen (16) inches plus or minus five (5) percent <br /> <br />c. Thickness: 1-1/2 inches excluding top growth and thatch. <br /> <br />4. Grow sod in organic “muck” soil, with minimum 1-inch soil intact on roots. <br /> <br />5. Mow sod to a uniform height of 2- 1/2 inches, when harvested. <br /> <br />6. Thatch: Maximum 1/2-inches uncompressed. <br /> <br />7.
