Seven Hundred Fifty-Six Dollars($825,756.00)for a one-year period with two(2)renewal options
<br />remaining; and
<br />WHEREAS, on December 18, 2014 via Resolution No. 2014-2351 the City Commission
<br />approved the Sixth Amendment to Agreement with Lukes-Sawgrass Landscaping, Inc. to provide
<br />Citywide Landscaping Services, in an amount not to exceed Two Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars
<br />250,000.00); and
<br />WHEREAS, on September 17, 2015 via Resolution No. 2015-2458 the City Commission
<br />approved the Seventh Amendment to Agreement with Lukes-Sawgrass Landscaping,Inc.to provide
<br />Citywide Landscaping Services, and prior unpaid invoices for special projects Citywide including
<br />Capital Improvement Projects, in an amount not to exceed One Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars
<br />150,000.00), for a total amount not to exceed One Million Two Hundred Twenty-Five Thousand
<br />Seven Hundred Fifty-Six Dollars ($1,225,756.00) for Fiscal Year 2014-2015; and
<br />WHEREAS, on October 17, 2015 via Resolution No. 2015-2467 the City Commission
<br />approved the Eighth Amendment to Agreement with Lukes-Sawgrass Landscaping,Inc.for Citywide
<br />Professional Landscaping,Irrigation and Arborist Services for Fiscal Year 2015-2016,in an amount
<br />not to exceed Eight Hundred Fifty-Five Thousand Nine Hundred Sixty Dollars($855,960.00),for a
<br />total amount not to exceed Two Million Eighty-One Thousand Seven Hundred Sixteen Dollars
<br />2,081,716.00); and
<br />WHEREAS,in support of a variety of Capital Projects,the City needs various professional
<br />landscaping maintenance,irrigation,and arborist services on an as-needed and as-requested basis for
<br />timely and minimized impacts to and aesthetics of various City facilities; and
<br />WHEREAS,the City being satisfied with the landscaping maintenance services of Lukes-
<br />Sawgrass Landscaping, Inc. and who has expressed its ability and desire to provide these services,
<br />desires to amend the Agreement for an additional one year term; and
<br />WHEREAS, the City Commission wishes to approve the Ninth Amendment to the
<br />Agreement with Lukes-Sawgrass Landscaping, Inc. for Citywide Professional Landscaping
<br />Maintenance,Irrigation and Arborist Services for Fiscal Year 2016-2017,in an amount not to exceed
<br />Eight Hundred Eighty-Six Thousand Six Hundred Twenty-Nine Dollars ($886,629.00), attached
<br />hereto as Exhibit "A", for a total amount not to exceed Two Million Nine Hundred Sixty-Eight
<br />Thousand Three Hundred Forty-Five Dollars ($2,968,345.00).
<br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE
<br />CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS:
<br />Section 1. Approval of Ninth Amendment to Agreement. The City Commission hereby
<br />approves the Ninth Amendment to the Agreement with Lukes-Sawgrass Landscaping, Inc. for
<br />Citywide Professional Landscaping Maintenance,Irrigation and Arborist Services,in an amount not
<br />to exceed Eight Hundred Eighty-Six Thousand Six Hundred Twenty-Nine Dollars($886,629.00)for
<br />Fiscal Year 2016-2017, attached hereto as Exhibit"A".
