Fertilizers must be <br />approved in advance by the Project Manaver(s) and must be applied in ac,—�rda, �za with the <br />manufacturers instruction's. The actual type and amount of fertilizer applied mu3t be ba3ed -wn <br />results of soil test(S) and In accordanLz- with manufactur=-r5 Instrucdons. Contractor shall <br />perform a soil fertility test at leoA twice per year or b -=for major fcrtili,=tion a3 mcommcnded <br />below, at Contractor's expense. The soil samples shall be taken in a variety of locations, sixteen <br />(16) minimum (10 in parks and facilities, 6 in rights-of-way), to determine the need for soil/plant <br />nutrients before applying fertilizer. The fertilization needs may be adjusted based on the results <br />of the soil sampling and prior approval of the City. Soil test(s) must bE conducted by a cv-Ilege <br />or University with a specialty in land management or a commercial soil laboratory; such tests are <br />the full responbibllity of the Contractor at no additional oust to the City.
