A storm emergency may be declared if information indicates that such conditions are <br /> developing or probable. <br /> Superior Landscaping and Lawn Service Communications <br /> Superior Landscaping and Lawn Service will be responsible to keep their personnel and their <br /> subcontractors for the project informed of the weather conditions. They will receive written <br /> notifications and special warnings about the weather conditions. Personnel will be notified of <br /> the following via phone call, verbal, email or fax: <br /> 1. Weather condition that could represent a danger of a hurricane. <br /> 2. Formation of a hurricane that could represent a danger to our zone. <br /> 3. Hurricane location (latitude and longitude) and forecasts <br /> 4. Hurricane Classification based on wind speed. <br /> 5. Hurricane status (Alert, Watch, Warning). <br /> 6. Additional information and special precautions to be taken. <br /> Superior Landscaping and Lawn Service Emergency Information <br /> Superior Landscaping and Lawn Service has prepared and will keep updated a list of key <br /> personnel. A meeting with the personnel team will be held to discuss the action plan and to <br /> distribute the project hurricane plans responsibilities. They key personnel will be responsible to <br /> report to work after the hurricane following an official notice from the National Hurricane <br /> Center and local officials that the hurricane danger is finished. They should notify Superior <br /> Landscaping and Lawn Service if they would not be able to report to work due to weather or <br /> aftermath conditions. Superior Landscaping and Lawn Service will determine the next step to <br /> cover this insufficiency. <br /> Action Plan <br /> The preparations will increase as the storm approaches and its path is reasonably plotted in the <br /> hurricane-tracking chart. Once an alert has been given, all employees and subcontractors <br /> should keep in touch with Superior Landscaping and Lawn Service for the storm progress. The <br /> following steps are recommended to be as followed: <br /> 1. Hurricane Watch 36 to 48 Hours Before Hurricane <br /> a. Project supervisors and subcontractors will be notified of the hurricane watch. <br /> b. Hold a meeting with the key personnel to distribute responsibilities and to detect <br /> any special condition present at the project that could require more attention. <br /> c. Re-supply the first aid kit. <br /> d. Ensure that emergency equipment is stored in a safe place. <br /> e. Coordinate to have available at least the following equipment: <br /> i. Flashlights with extra batteries <br /> ii. Portable generator(s) <br /> iii. Inexpensive battery operated radio (weather Band) <br /> 35 <br />
