Russo, City Manager <br />DATE: <br />7/20/2097 <br />Approving an Agreement with American Ramp <br />RE; <br />Company to DesignlBuild a Regional Hybrid Skate Park <br />at'Haulover Park <br />RECOMMENDATIOJ:. <br />This resolution Is presented for your consideration. <br />REASONS: <br />The City, in partnership with the neighboring communities of Bat <br />Harbour, 'Bay Harbor Islands, Miami Beach and Surfside; desires to <br />build a hybrid skate park at Haulover Park for the benefit of our <br />collective residents aM visitors. This project fulfills a goal set by the <br />City Commission to relocate the small City skate park, formerly at <br />Town Center Park, to the larger county owned Haulover Park. <br />American Ramp Company (ARC) has been awarded the National <br />Joint Powers Alliance (NJPA) contract which authorizes the City to <br />procure with them forthisproject. ARC has the experience and <br />expertise to design and build an innovative hybrid skate park that <br />would include a pump track and plaza type skate park. <br />This resolution seeks the authority for the City Manager to enter into <br />an agreementwith American Ramp Company to Design Build a Hybrid <br />Skate Park at Houlover Park that will meet the needs of the partnering <br />communities. <br />ADDITIONAL. INFORMATION: <br />The above mentioned partner municipalities shall each contribute <br />$50,000 towards the execution of this project for total contribution of <br />$200,000. The City will fund the balance out of the` <br />Capital <br />Improvement Program fund, that was approved in Fiscal Year 2015- <br />2016 up to $150,000. The estimated agreement for this Design Build <br />pdrtton is not to exceed $276,733,93: <br />FUNDING SOURCE - <br />Funding for r this agreement is partially funded by donations from <br />partnering municipalities in the total amount of $200,000.
