Russo, City Manager <br /> DATE: 11/16/2017 <br /> Approving Change Order Nos. 1 and 2 with Ebsary <br /> RE: Foundation Company for the North Bay Road <br /> Emergency/Pedestrian Bridge <br /> RECOMMENDATION: <br /> This Resolution is presented for your consideration. <br /> REASONS: <br /> 1. The original bridge design and bid document did not include final <br /> aesthetic finishes including, bridge decorative colored surface material, <br /> landscape planters, wooden benches, and associated rigid pavement <br /> slabs required to provide a pedestrian friendly atmosphere. These <br /> items are included in Change Order No. 1 for the amount of <br /> $423,690.20 <br /> 2. Additional design study of the bridge approaches by the project <br /> engineer resulted in the addition of, storm water drainage for the bridge <br /> and improved storm water drainage and pavement for the abutting <br /> Salem House Condominium (SHC) necessitated due to the addition of <br /> bridge approach roadways and temporary construction easements <br /> granted by SHC necessary to physically construct the bridge structure. <br /> These items are included in Change Order No. 2 for the amount of <br /> $192,689.28 <br /> ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: <br />�t. <br /> Remaining items not contemplated in the design and bid documents, <br /> 39 <br />
