Parker, Building Official <br /> DATE: 7/17/2014 <br /> RE: Renewal of the Blue Digital Agreement Under Resolution 2013- <br /> 2085 for Document Imaging Services for the Building Department <br /> RECOMMENDATION: <br /> It is recommended that the City Commission approves the attached resolution to <br /> renew the Blue Digital Contract for an additional 1 year term to continue with the <br /> digitization efforts for the Building Department in an amount not to exceed <br /> $26,000 for the digitization of building permitting documents issued yearly. <br /> REASONS: <br /> On July 18, 2013 the City entered into an agreement with Blue Digital for <br /> Document Imaging Services for the Building Department in an amount not to <br /> exceed $248,900 as follows: <br /> • $222,900 for scanning of Phases 2 (large format plans), Phase 3 <br /> (permitting files stored in 2 rooms on the 3rd floor) and Phase 4 (un- <br /> scanned documents in the 1st floor storage area) <br /> • Annual amount not to exceed $26,000 for scanning of plans and permitting <br /> documents issued each fiscal year. <br /> The Department has completed approximately 75% of phase 2 and 20% of <br /> phase 3. Phase 1 has been ongoing since October of 2012.
