stan,ot:Dlnic . <br /> pc <br /> u•u.n%s COUNTY School District of Pickens County <br /> • Building success beyond the classroom <br /> November 7, 2011 <br /> To Whom it May Concern: <br /> As part of an extensive building program in the District that includes construction of four new high <br /> schools, a decision was made by district personnel to install an artificial turf system on the football <br /> stadium field at Liberty High School and on soccer playing fields at Pickens, Easley, and oW Daniel High <br /> Schools. <br /> An Invitation for Competitive Best Value Bids was developed and publicly advertised, and responses <br /> all were received from Medallion Athletic Products, Inc.and several other reputable turf system <br /> manufacturers and installers. In evaluation of the bid responses, the district considered several factors <br /> including cost,company background and experience,and reference responses. <br /> After a thorough evaluation of all responses by the District's evaluation team, Medallion Athletic <br /> Products, Inc.was awarded the contract to construct and install the Maxplay turf system at the new high <br /> schools.The Liberty High School football team has now played an entire season on the new turf system, <br /> and the performance and quality of the turf system has been outstanding.
