it
I FLORIDA
® [ L INTERNATIONAL
H_ [ UNIVERSITY
March 2, 2011
To Whom It May Concern:
This letter shall serve to confirm the involvement of Recreational Design and
Construction, Inc., in the replacement and completion of the artificial turf field for our
new football stadium, located on Florida International University's University Park
Campus. This project included the complete removal and replacement of the football
field, including drainage, curbs, asphalt aprons and goal posts. This project was made
more complex by the fact that the project required close coordination, for interconnection
of drainage, utilities and systems, between Recreational Design and Construction and the
stadium contractor. Total cost for this project exceeded 1.2 million dollars, and was
ongoing for approximately 3 months.
It is my opinion that Recreational Design and Construction was an instrumental part of
the success of the Stadium and Field projects, allowing us to have the facility ready in
time for football season, and the University's first home game in the new stadium.
® Ownership, management and staff alike, offered not only their expertise, but also
committed to extensive personal effort in order to aid with the completion of the project.
They were consistently available to assist and consult all those involved in the project.
Throughout this project, Florida International University experienced nothing but respect,
teamwork and dedication. It is a rare pleasure to work with a contractor who places such
a high priority on integrity, teamwork, workmanship and deadlines.
As the project manager for Florida International University, I offer my highest
recommendation of Recreational Design and Construction, Inc.
Respectfull ,
a .
Danny Palm, P.E.
Senior Project Manager
® Facilities Management • Construction Uicision
Modesto A.
