PERKINS +WILL
January 08, 2018
City Clerk
Sunny Isles Beach Government Center
18070 Collina Avenue
Sunny Isles Beach, Florida 33160
Re: Professional Architectural Services for Interior Remodeling at Government Center Lobby and at Gateway Park
for Internal Space Build-Out. RFQ No. 17-12-0111
Dear Members of the Selection Committee,
On behalf of Perkins+Will, we are pleased to present our qualifications for interior architectural services for lobby and
community center renovations/remodeling for the City of Sunny Isles Beach. Perkins+Will has an extensive and ongoing
working relationship with the City of Sunny Isles Beach. Many of the team members proposed for this opportunity are the
same team that completed design services for the Sunny Isles Government Center Annex project. Additionally, Carlos Vilato
and I both collaborated with the City of Sunny Isles in the completion of the first phase of the Government Center(while
•
at another firm). We take great pride in our long-standing relationship as "design professionals to the City of Sunny Isles
Beach" having partnered with the City when it was first incorporated in 1997 and working closely with Mayor Samson to
ensure his vision for the Government Center was realized. We understand the requirements to successfully deliver projects
in the City, including local codes and permitting regulations.
We have designed a wide range of interior renovation projects including municipal campuses, civic facilities, lobbies,
common areas and workplaces, leveraging a body of research and knowledge that provides our clients with exclusive,
cutting-edge insights. We create award-winning spaces that nurture people, place, and processes in support of strategic
business and community objectives.
Global Leaders in Workplace
Perkins+Will is recognized throughout our profession for innovative workplace strategies and their successful
•
implementation. This includes the design of lobbies, common areas and flexible multi-function spaces. Our research
focused approach and deep benchmarking will contribute to the design and development of the community center and
lobby for the City of Sunny Isles that meets your functional requirements while enhancing creativity, collaboration, and
productivity.
Local Experience
We understand that culture, tradition and local knowledge are important to any project, and our team has a deep knowledge
of and experience within the City of Sunny Isles. Our Miami office was formed 22 years ago and has completed notable
interior renovation projects in South Florida and across the country.
Extensive Experience with Civic Design
Our Civic design teams create spaces that serve our cities and embody the spirit and image of their citizens. Our designs
reflect the identity and needs of a community and become the catalyst for change, fueling private-sector investment and
growth. Our mission is to understand the goals of the City of Sunny Isles and to use them to design facilities that enhance
the local reputation of the City Goverment.
111
2 Sunny Isles Government Center Lobby+Gateway Park Build-Out
