<br /> As a subconsultant to an architect, Kimley-Horn is providing civil engineering,traffic,and landscape architecture services for the
<br /> c. Miami River project.The Miami River project is planned to cover a three-block area that will be bordered by the Miami River,
<br /> SW 7th Street,SW 3rd Avenue and SW 2nd Avenue in Downtown Miami, right off of 1-95.The master plan is broken in to five
<br /> phases,which will include two 58-story towers,two 60-story towers,and two three-story structures connected by walkways at

<br /> has been contracted to provide all aspects of ongoing traffic,transportation,and civil engineering services associated with the
<br /> Town,including providing staff to fill the positions of public works director and stormwater utility director.Specific projects have
<br /> ® d. included Lake Elizabeth Drainage Improvements,NW 87th Avenue Design,Miami Lakeway North,and NW 154th Street

<br /> Director..With Miami Lakes recent incorporation,they needed to assess the infrastructure within the Town limits.Kimley-Horn

<br /> improvements program(CIP).To facilitate implementing these improvements,we provided construction documents and
<br /> obtained bids from contractors to implement the projects.Other achievements include obtaining a grant from the Metropolitan

<br /> e• Project neighborhood center including site planning,civil engineering, roadway design,traffic signal design,permitting,and
<br /> construction phase services.This project required significant coordination with multiple county agencies.Perhaps the most
<br /> challenging aspect of the project was its location within the Bird Drive Everglades Wetland Basin(BDEWB).Due to a lack of
<br /> ® sufficient surface water storage within the BDEWB,there were restrictions on the development of the site.Through our local
<br /> experience and relationships with the Miami-Dade Department of Environmental Resources Management,Kimley-Horn was
<br /> able to implement an innovative solution to meet the development criteria thereby allowing our client to fully develop the site.
