RESOLUTION NO. 2012- 200al <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br /> SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA ESTABLISHING GUIDELINES <br /> FOR THE CONTINUED PARTICIPATION OF RETIRED ELECTED <br /> OFFICIALS IN THE AFFAIRS OF THE CITY; PROVIDING THE <br /> CITY MANAGER WITH THE AUTHORITY TO DO ALL THINGS <br /> NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THIS RESOLUTION; PROVIDING <br /> FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> WHEREAS, a number of elected officials are now retired from offices due to term limits; <br /> and <br /> WHEREAS, the continuing participation of retired elected officials is beneficial to the <br /> City; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Commission wishes to extend certain benefits to facilitate the <br /> participation of retired Elected Officials. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br /> CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA,AS FOLLOWS: <br /> Section 1. Retired Elected Officials. The City Manager or designee is hereby instructed to <br /> provide retired elected officials with benefits attached as Exhibit "A" to facilitate their continued <br /> participation with the City. <br /> Section 2. Authorization of the City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to do <br /> all things necessary to effectuate this Resolution. <br /> Section 3. Effective Date.
