Russo, City Manager <br /> FROM: Sylvia Flores, Cultural & Community Services Director <br /> DATE: 2/15/2018 <br /> RE: Bid Award for RFP 17-10-01 to Spotlight Marketing & <br /> PR Inc. <br /> RECOMMENDATION: <br /> This item is presented for your consideration. <br /> REASONS: <br /> Through Resolution 2006-1017, the City created a partnership with the <br /> Greater Miami Convention and Visitor's Bureau for the purpose of <br /> promoting the City as a tourist destination. In 2008, the City entered <br /> into its first agreement with a Public Relations firm to fulfill the <br /> marketing aspect of this partnership. We are currently out of contract <br /> with a public relations firm and subsequently issue Request for <br /> Proposals (RFP 17-10-01), Public Relations for Tourism and Trade <br /> Industry Services. <br /> Spotlight Marketing and Public Relations, Inc. proved to be the most <br /> responsive and responsible bidder to fulfill the public relations needs <br /> of this partnership. The City wishes to award RFP 17-10-01 and enter <br /> into an agreement with Spotlight Marketing and Public Relations Inc, <br /> to provide public relations services in a total amount not to exceed . <br /> $148,000 for the initial two(2)year term. <br /> ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: <br /> The agreement provides for an initial term of two (2) years with three <br /> optional one (1) year renewal terms for a maximum of five (5) total <br /> years.Administration seeks approval for a total amount not to exceed <br /> $148,000 for the first two (2) year term.
