Design of the shoreline stabilization using rock revetment composed of native <br />lime rock. Created an approximate area of 2,800 square feet for the planting of mangroves <br />located directly behind the rock revetment. <br />NDWWTP Groundwater Evaluation for the North Dade Wastewater <br />Treatment Plant <br />(3) BRIEF DESCRIPTION (Brief scope, size, cost, etc.) AND SPECIFIC ROLE <br />An evaluation of the effects of sea level rise on groundwater levels was conducted and <br />recommendations were provided relative to the location of future infrastructure at the <br />rwastewater treatment plant. The analysis was based on existing studies for Miami and othe <br />relevant coastal areas. <br />FDOT A1A Coastal Analysis, Indian River County <br />Scour and wave load analysis for proposed seawall for almost 2 miles of shoreline that <br />experienced significant erosion during Hurricane Matthew. A hydrodynamic MIKE21 model <br />was established to simulate tidal and storm surge flow. The model was calibrated <br />relative to site specific current measurements obtained. <br />(1) TITLE AND LOCATION (City and State) <br />Coastal Towers, Sunny Isles Beach <br />Replacement of approximately 1,500 linear feet of failed seawall and creation of a new 33-slip <br />timber marina. The failed segments were replaced with a rock revetment, thereby significantly <br />reducing cost to the owner of the project. The structural design of the timber marine was optimized <br />to reduce the previous marina footprint and material costs. <br /> (1) TITLE AND LOCATION (City and State) <br />Ocean Cay Development, Bahamas <br />Marine resource surveys were completed to provide an understanding of the existing conditions of the marine environment <br />surrounding Ocean Cay. The assessment included the roving and transect surveys, detailed habitat mapping, and photo and video <br />surveillance. Data was analyzed to identify species abundance and diversity, habitat complexity, as well as overall resource <br />complexity and health at the Project site.
