<br /> • The year and month, if available, that the information was compiled and the name,
<br /> address, and emergency telephone number of the manufacturer responsible for preparing
<br /> the information.
<br /> 2.30 PROTECTION OF PROPERTY, UTILITIES, AND THE PUBLIC
<br /> The Contractor must continuously maintain adequate protection of all its Work from all losses or
<br /> damage and must protect public and private property, and utilities from injury or loss arising in
<br /> connection with the Work, and take all necessary precautions to prevent accidents, injuries, or
<br /> damage to persons or property on or near the Work.
<br /> The Contractor is solely responsible for,and must replace and make good all loss,injury,or damage
<br /> to any property including, but not limited to, landscaping, irrigation, walks, drives, structures, or
<br /> utilities resulting from performance of the Work.
<br /> 2.31 CONTRACTOR'S RESPONSIBILITY FOR UTILITY PROPERTIES AND SERVICE
<br /> Where the Contractor's operations could cause damage or inconvenience to telephone, fiber optic,
<br /> television, electrical power, oil, gas, water, sewer, or irrigation systems, the Contractor must make
<br /> all arrangements necessary for the protection of these utilities and services or any other known
<br /> utilities.
<br /> Notify all utility companies that are affected by the construction operation at least forty-eight(48)
<br /> hours in advance. Under no circumstance expose any utility without first obtaining permission from
<br /> the appropriate agency. Once permission has been granted, locate,expose,and provide temporary
<br /> support for all existing underground utilities and utility poles where necessary.
<br /> The Contractor and its Subcontractors will be solely and directly responsible to the owner and
<br /> operators of such properties for any damage, injury, expense, loss, inconvenience, delay, suits,
<br /> actions, or claims of any character brought because of any injuries or damage which may result
<br /> from the construction operations under the Contract Documents.
<br /> Neither the City nor its officers or agents will be responsible to the Contractor for damages as a
<br /> result of the Contractor's failure to protect property encountered in the Work.
<br /> In the event of interruption to domestic water, sewer, storm drain, or other utility services as a
<br /> result of accidental breakage due to construction operations, Contractor must promptly notify the
<br /> owner, any required regulatory authority, and the Project Manager(s). Contractor shall also
<br /> cooperate with said authority in restoration of service as promptly as possible and bear all costs of
<br /> repair and any required interim measures to ensure safety. In no event will interruption of any
<br /> utility service be allowed unless granted by the owner of the utility.
<br /> In the event water service lines that interfere with trenching are encountered, the Contractor may,
<br /> by obtaining prior approval of the water utility, cut the service, dig through, and restore the service
<br /> with similar and equal materials at the Contractor's expense and as approved by the Project
<br /> Manager(s).
