Summary Minutes:Regular City Commission Meeting March 15,2018 City of Sunny Isles Beach,Florida <br /> 1011. A Resolution of the City Commission of the City of Sunny Isles Beach, Florida, Approving <br /> an Off-System Construction and Maintenance Agreement with the Florida Department <br /> of Transportation ("FDOT")for the Rehabilitation of the Atlantic Isle Bridge,attached <br /> Hereto, in Substantially the Same Form, as Exhibit "A"; Authorizing the City Manager to <br /> Execute Said Agreement,Provided it is First Reviewed as to Form and Legal Sufficiency by <br /> the City Attorney; Authorizing the City Manager and City Attorney to Do All Things <br /> Necessary to Effectuate this Resolution; Providing for an Effective Date. <br /> Action: City Clerk Betancur read the title, and Assistant City Manager Susan Simpson <br /> reported. <br /> Public Speakers: None <br /> Commissioner Svechin moved and Commissioner Aelion seconded a motion to approve the <br /> resolution. Resolution No. 2018-2801 was adopted by a voice vote of 5-0 in favor. <br /> 10I. City Manager <br /> Christopher J. Russo stated that this item is the first step toward fixing the drainage issues on <br /> North Bay Road. <br /> Vice Mayor Goldman moved and Commissioner Svechin seconded a motion to approve the <br /> resolution. CITIZENS' FORUM: REQUESTS, PETITIONS & OTHER COMMUNICATIONS <br /> Public Speakers: Susan Melemud, Nicholas Rodriguez. <br /> Susan Melemud mentioned that there are many traffic issues affecting both the residents of <br /> La Perla and patrons of the beach and pier. Mayor Scholl stated that he has met with the <br /> owners of the Newport in an attempt to find a middle ground and come to a solution <br /> regarding the parking at Pier Park. He mentioned that there were a few ideas that were <br /> discussed that could potentially lead to a solution in the future. <br /> 5 <br />
