RESOLUTION NO. 2013 - Z.O2,3 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF ADDITIONAL EQUIPMENT FROM DELL NEEDED FOR FISCAL YEAR 2012/2013, IN AN AMOUNT OF THIRTEEN THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED NINETY-ONE DOLLARS AND ELEVEN CENTS ($13,291.11), BRINGING THE TOTAL AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED TO SIXTY-FIVE THOUSAND DOLLARS ($65,000.00); AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THIS RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City purchases computer systems and servers from DELL utilizing Florida State Contract No. 250-000-09-1; and WHEREAS, during Fiscal Year 2012/2013 two purchases have been approved, one for $8,256.69, and a second purchase approved by the City Commission on December 20. 2012 via Resolution No. 2012-2004 in an amount of$43,452.20, fora total of$51,708.89; and WHEREAS, the City is now requesting purchase authority of an additional $13,291.11 in order to accommodate additional equipment which may be needed this fiscal year; bringing the total amount not to exceed to $65,000.00; and WHEREAS, funding for additional equipment is available in Account No. 10.559-5643. NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. Authorize the Purchase. The City Commission hereby authorizes the purchase of additional equipment from Dell, in an amount of Thirteen Thousand Two Hundred Ninety-One Dollars and Eleven Cents ($13,291.11); bringing the total amount not to exceed to Sixty-Five Thousand Dollars ($65,000.00). Section 2. Authorization of City Manager. The City Manager is hereby authorized to do all thines necessary to effectuate this Resolution. Section 3. Effective Date.
