Russo, City Manager
DATE: January 30. 2013
RE: A Resolution Approving a Construction Change Order to Agreement with
Shoreline Foundation, Inc. for the Newport Pier Project
RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended the City Commission approve the attached Resolution.
REASON:
On November 15, 2012, staff resented a change order for a total of$764.100.41, which included
$135,000 for the changing the paint colors of the Pier. At this time, staff deemed that it was not
necessary to repaint the piles. However, after reevaluating the look of the Pier, it is deemed
aesthetically necessary to paint the piles. The cost to paint the piles is a not to exceed an amount
of$38.102.08 with no time extension.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
Below is a recap of the Shoreline Contract.
Aa lteCimAl: 4
Date _ I- 3D- I 3
