t <br /> responsible for any damage resulting from any dust originating from its operations. <br /> The dust abatement measures shall be continued until the Contractor is relieved <br /> of further responsibility by the Engineer. <br /> B. Rubbish Control - During the progress of the work, the Contractor shall keep the <br /> site of the work and other areas used by it in a neat and clean condition, and free <br /> from any accumulation of rubbish. The Contractor shall dispose of all rubbish and <br /> waste materials of any nature occurring at the work site, and shall establish regular <br /> intervals of collection and disposal of such materials and waste. The Contractor <br /> shall also keep its haul roads free from dirt, rubbish, and unnecessary obstructions <br /> resulting from its operations. Disposal of all rubbish and surplus materials shall be <br /> off the site of construction in accordance with local codes and ordinances <br /> governing locations and methods of disposal, and in conformance with all <br /> applicable safety laws, and to the particular requirements of Part 1926 of the <br /> 1 OSHA Safety and Health Standards for Construction. <br /> C. Sanitation <br /> 1. Toilet Facilities - Fixed or portable chemical toilets shall be provided <br /> wherever needed for the use of employees. Toilets at construction job <br /> sites shall conform to the requirements of Part 1926 of the OSHA <br /> Standards for Construction. <br /> 2. Sanitary and Other Organic Wastes - The Contractor shall establish a <br /> regular daily collection of all sanitary and organic wastes. All wastes and <br /> refuse from sanitary facilities provided by the Contractor or organic material <br /> wastes from any other source related to the Contractor's operations shall <br /> be disposed of away from the site in a manner satisfactory to the Engineer <br /> and in accordance with all laws and regulations pertaining thereto. <br /> 1.05 SALVAGE <br /> A. Any existing equipment or material including but not limited to, valves, pipes, <br /> fittings, couplings, etc., which is removed or replaced as a result of construction <br /> under this project may be designated as salvage by the Engineer or City and if so <br /> shall be excavated, if necessary, and delivered to the City by a location directed by <br /> 1 the City. Any equipment or material not worthy of salvaging, as directed by the <br /> City, shall be disposed of by the Contractor at a suitable location. <br /> PART 2 - PRODUCTS (NOT USED) <br /> PART 3 - EXECUTION <br /> 3.01 COOPERATION WITHIN THIS CONTRACT <br /> ' A. All firms or persons authorized to perform any work under this Contract shall <br /> cooperate with the General Contractor and his subcontractors or trades, and shall <br /> assist in incorporating the work of other trades where necessary or required. <br /> 1 <br /> 05/08 01505-3 05-4893 <br />
