RESOLUTION NO. 2018 - ZbS <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY <br /> OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, APPROVING AN <br /> AGREEMENT WITH PORT CONSOLIDATED, INC. FOR THE <br /> PURCHASE OF GASOLINE AND DIESEL FUEL FOR THE <br /> 2,000-GALLON ABOVE GROUND TANK LOCATED ON THE <br /> SOUTHWEST PORTION OF GOVERNMENT CENTER, IN AN <br /> AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED ONE HUNDRED THOUSAND <br /> DOLLARS (S100,000.00) ANNUALLY, ATTACHED HERETO <br /> AS EXHIBIT "A"; AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO <br /> EXECUTE SAID AGREEMENT; AUTHORIZING THE CITY <br /> MANAGER TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO <br /> EFFECTUATE THIS RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR AN <br /> EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Sunny Isles Beach purchased an emergency fuel supply when <br /> Government Center opened and was being stored in the 2,000-gallon above ground tank located <br /> on the Southwest portion of the City Hall complex; and <br /> WHEREAS, on March 15, 2007 via Resolution No. 2007-1062, the City Commission • <br /> approved the purchase and installation of a diesel fuel pump to keep the City's emergency fuel <br /> supply fresh and to be used for the City's shuttle buses, street sweeper, and other City vehicles <br /> that use diesel fuel; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Pompano Beach issued and advertised Request for Proposal No. <br /> E-13-17 for the purchase of gasoline and diesel fuel and awarded Contract No. RFP E-13-17 to <br /> Port Consolidate, Inc.; and <br /> WHEREAS, pursuant to the City's procurement code provisions, any purchases made <br /> under state, county or other governmental contracts, or competitive bids with other governmental <br /> agencies are exempt from the City's competitive bidding procedures; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City wishes to enter into an Agreement with Port Consolidated, Inc. for <br /> the purchase of gasoline and diesel fuel for the 2,000 gallon above ground tank located on the <br /> southwest portion of Government Center, in an amount not to exceed One Hundred Thousand <br /> Dollars ($100,000.00) annually, attached hereto as Exhibit "A". <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br /> CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> Section 1. Approval of Agreement. The City Commission hereby approves the Agreement <br /> with Port Consolidated, Inc. for the purchase of gasoline and diesel fuel for the 2,000 gallon <br /> above ground tank located on the southwest portion of Government Center, in an amount not to <br /> exceed One Hundred Thousand Dollars ($100,000.00) annually, attached hereto as Exhibit "A". <br /> R2018 Port Consolidated for Diesel Fuel Page 1 oft <br />
