PectPsaster inition > :>a >> <br /> preparation <br /> Page 17 <br /> • The Project Manager will be on site where possible in advance of the disaster and will be <br /> available to join with your teams to help prepare for disaster impact. <br /> • The project team will be mobilized to the nearest geographical point along with all equipment in <br /> advance of the disaster to minimize any delay in the beginning of the recovery process. <br /> • The Mobile command center will be mobilized and at the nearest geographical position ready to <br /> start operations. <br /> • Teams and equipment required for push services will be on stand-by ready foremergency <br /> clearing <br /> Mobilization of staff and equipment <br /> Once we are aware of an impending disaster, prior to impact, all personnel and equipment will be <br /> collated at the safest geographical area to the impact to ensure readiness. Key subcontractors are <br /> mobilized and a KDF representative can be available to the locality prior to impact to be directly <br /> involved at a local level with all disaster management. Emergency communication strategies are also <br /> mobilized at this point. <br /> Project team and project plans <br /> Our Project team, led by the project manager (PM) and including key field and support team members <br /> will be prepared to be onsite with 12 hours of NTP (or immediately following storm impact). The <br /> project team will in part depend on the size of the project but along with the PM will include functions <br /> such as field management, accounting, admin, health and safety and quality control. This advance <br /> team will carry out an initial damage assessment and in collaboration with local government agencies <br /> will set out the initial recovery priorities within 24 hrs. <br /> KDF closely monitors its Quality Control and Health and Safety processes as part of our corporate <br /> responsibility. Personnel and training records will be reviewed by our Quality manager during the <br /> preparation phase and any necessary safety briefings will be completed to ensure no delay to recovery <br /> activities.
