RESOLUTION NO. 2018 - 256 " <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br /> SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AWARDING REQUEST FOR <br /> PROPOSAL ("RFP") NO. 18-04-03 TO, AND AUTHORIZING THE <br /> CITY MANAGER TO NEGOTIATE WITH A PRIMARY BIDDER <br /> AND SECONDARY BIDDER AND ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT <br /> WITH DISASTER PROGRAM & OPERATIONS, INC. AND TIDAL <br /> BASIN TO PROVIDE DISASTER DEBRIS MONITORING SERVICES, <br /> PROVIDED SAID AGREEMENTS ARE FIRST APPROVED AS TO <br /> FORM AND LEGAL SUFFICIENCY BY THE CITY ATTORNEY; <br /> AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER AND THE CITY ATTORNEY <br /> TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THIS <br /> RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> WHEREAS, the City is in need of a consultant to provide disaster debris monitoring <br /> services in the event of an emergency; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City issued and advertised RFP No. 18-04-03 for Disaster Debris <br /> Monitoring Services and received two (2) responses, and both Disaster Program & Operations, <br /> Inc. and Tidal Basin represented to the City that it possesses the requisite qualifications, <br /> expertise and licenses to perform all necessary work in connection with the services specified in <br /> the RFP; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Commission wishes to award RFP No. 18-04-03 to, and authorize <br /> the City Manager to negotiate with a Primary Bidder and Secondary Bidder and enter into an <br /> Agreement with Disaster Program & Operations, Inc. and Tidal Basin to provide disaster debris <br /> monitoring services, provided said Agreements are first approved as to form and legal sufficiency <br /> by the City Attorney. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br /> CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> Section 1. Award of RFP No. 18-04-03 and Authorization of City Manager. The City <br /> Commission hereby awards RFP No. 18-04-03 to, and authorize the City Manager to negotiate <br /> with a Primary Bidder and Secondary Bidder and enter into an Agreement with Disaster Program <br /> & Operations, Inc. and Tidal Basin to provide disaster debris monitoring services, provided said <br /> Agreements are first approved as to form and legal sufficiency by the City Attorney. The City <br /> Commission authorizes the City Manager to reject all bids if negotiation fails. <br /> Section 2. Authorization of City Manager and City Attorney. The City Manager and the <br /> City Attorney are hereby authorized to do all things necessary to effectuate this Resolution. <br /> Section 3. Effective Date.
