GENERAL CONTRACTORS air Super Prolog Plus - Project Management Software - This software is used for submittal logs, submittal transmittals, request for information, change order logs, daily reports and non-compliance notices and logs. With this software Hewett-Kier Construction, Inc. is able to immediately determine the status of any of the above items and can develop "hot lists" of those items needing constant monitoring. Hewett-Kier Construction, Inc. utilizes Primavera Project Planner for its scheduling needs. The schedule is also used for contract billings and is broken down into responsibility codes for subcontractor's work. Hewett-Kier Construction, Inc. also utilizes the Lynx Digital Photo Management System. Lynx is a state-of-the-art software tool that downloads digital pictures from digital cameras,files these digital photographs in a high speed database, attaches them to various types of reports, and transmits this information to other Lynx Systems anywhere in the world instantly by modem, the Internet, etc. Hewett-Kier Construction, Inc. equips each of its project managers with a digital camera and Lynx Software. Weekly photos are made of all projects which are then downloaded into our Lynx Master at the home office. These photos enable Hewett-Kier Construction, Inc.'s President and Vice President to review job progress and activities. Also in the event of a question or job problem a photo of the problem area can be taken and e-mailed to the home office for quick resolution. Hewett-Kier Construction, Inc. also has the capability to provide the owner or his representative with a Lynx Viewer so that digital photos can be attached to Requests For Information. The RFI can then be sent via e-mail or floppy disk for review and resolution. This process can expedite job problem solving by enabling all necessary parties to view the problem without having to schedule a meeting at the jobsite. On this project, Hewett-Kier Construction, Inc. will provide the design firm with a Lynx viewer at their office so that a digital photo of any design problem which arises during construction can be e- mailed immediately for expedited resolution. The corrected design or clarification can them be e- mailed or faxed to the jobsite. BidFax for Windows - is a program that helps organize subcontractors and suppliers into a computerized database, similar to an electronic Rolodex file. This database is designed specifically for general contractors with many data fields pre-set to reflect construction needs. Hewett-Kier Construction, Inc.'s database is"indexed" or grouped by a standard list of trade codes often referred to as UCI/CSI codes. Using this detailed database, Hewett-Kier Construction, Inc. can create separate"bid lists"that include only those subcontractors who meet the requirements of this specific project. This narrowed-down list, referred to as a Bid File, can then be used to send a variety of faxes directly from the computer. Non bid-related faxes can also be sent directly to our database of subcontractors. GEAC/LIBRA - Accounting System includes Job Costing, General Ledge, Accounts Payable and payroll.
