RESOLUTION NO. 2018 - �K4g <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF <br /> SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AUTHORIZING THE CITY <br /> MANAGER TO NEGOTIATE AND ENTER INTO AN <br /> INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT WITH THE MIAMI-DADE <br /> COUNTY TRANSPORTATION PLANNING ORGANIZATION TO <br /> ACCEPT GRANT FUNDS IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED <br /> THIRTY THOUSAND DOLLARS ($30,000.00) FOR A PLANNING <br /> AND FEASIBILITY STUDY FOR THE 174T" STREET <br /> EMERGENCY PEDESTRIAN BRIDGE, PROVIDED SAID <br /> INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT IS FIRST APPROVED AS TO <br /> FORM AND LEGAL SUFFICIENCY BY THE CITY ATTORNEY; <br /> FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER AND THE <br /> CITY ATTORNEY TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO <br /> EFFECTUATE THIS RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR AN <br /> EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> WHEREAS; the City applied for and was awarded a grant from the Miami-Dade County <br /> Transportation Planning Organization ("TPO"); and <br /> WHEREAS, the grant awarded by the TPO will be used for a planning and feasibility <br /> study for the 174th Street Emergency Pedestrian bridge; and <br /> WHEREAS, the City Commission wishes to authorize the City Manager to negotiate and <br /> enter into an Interlocal Agreement with Miami-Dade County Transportation Planning <br /> Organization to accept grant funds in an amount not to exceed Thirty Thousand Dollars <br /> ($30,000.00) for a planning and feasibility study for the 174th Street Emergency Pedestrian <br /> bridge, provided said Interlocal Agreement is first reviewed as to form and legal sufficiency by <br /> the City Attorney. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br /> CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> Section 1. Authorization to Negotiate and Enter into Interlocal Agreement. The City <br /> Commission hereby authorizes the City Manager to negotiate and enter into an Interlocal <br /> Agreement with Miami-Dade County Transportation Planning Organization to accept grant funds <br /> in an amount not to exceed Thirty Thousand Dollars ($30,000.00) for a planning and feasibility <br /> study for the 174th Street Emergency Pedestrian bridge, provided said Interlocal Agreement is <br /> first reviewed as to form and legal sufficiency by the City Attorney. <br /> Section 2. Authorization of City Manager and City Attorney. The City Manager and the <br /> City Attorney are hereby authorized to do all things necessary to effectuate this Resolution. <br /> Section 3.
