BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT AND RELEVANCE TO THIS CONTRACT (Include scope, size, and cost) <br />The UAZ 308 project encompasses approximately 125 acres in the City of Dania Beach and is located south of <br />Griffin Road, west of Anglers Avenue, east of SW 30th Avenue, and north of SW 53rd Court. The infrastructure <br />improvements to the existing neighborhood included new water and sanitary sewer systems. This area is <br />primarily residential, built in the 1950’s and early 1960’s. The area was developed without a sanitary sewer <br />collection system, inadequate drainage, and an inadequate water distribution system. As a result of inadequate <br />infrastructure, Broward County selected Craven Thompson and Associates (CTA) to design infrastructure <br />improvements needed in the area. CTA designed, permitted, and provided constructi on engineering and <br />inspection services for the construction of over 28,700 linear feet of water main, 219 Water Services, 20,300 <br />linear feet of Gravity sewer main, 340 sewer laterals, and 1,270 linear feet of force main. Main line pipe sizes <br />ranged from 6” to 10” in diameter. Project also included over 50,000 SY of new roadway construction, <br />sidewalks, driveway aprons, and re-graded swales.
