RESOLUTION NO. 2018- act 8' <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SUNNY <br /> ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, EXPRESSING SUPPORT FOR LONG-TERM <br /> INFRASTRUCTURE PLANNING FOR REHABILITATION OF THE <br /> GOLDEN SHORES PUMP STATION AND STORMWATER RETENTION <br /> FACILITY EXPANSION STUDY; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER <br /> TO DO ALL THINGS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE THE <br /> RESOLUTION; PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> WHEREAS, the Infrastructure Element in the City's 2016 Amended Comprehensive Plan <br /> provides for maintaining adequate drainage facilities within the boundaries of the City; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Golden Shores Pump Station has been evaluated by a professional <br /> engineer and necessary improvements have been identified in order to increase efficiency and <br /> ensure its continued use; and <br /> WHEREAS, the Stormwater Retention Facility Expansion Study is needed to identify <br /> additional capacity in existing stormwater facilities throughout the City to accommodate future <br /> needs. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE <br /> CITY OF SUNNY ISLES BEACH, FLORIDA, AS FOLLOWS: <br /> Section 1. Approval and Implementation. The City Commission hereby expresses support for <br /> long-term infrastructure planning for rehabilitation of the Golden Shores Pump Station and the <br /> Stormwater Retention Facility Expansion Study. <br /> Section 2. Authorization of City Manager and City Attorney. The City Manager and City <br /> Attorney are hereby authorized to do all things necessary to effectuate this Resolution. <br /> Section 3.
