A Resolution of the Local Planning Agency of the City of Sunny Isles Beach. Florida. <br />Recommending to the City Commission of Sunny Isles Beach. the Ordinance Amending <br />Chapter 265, Section 46 of the Code of Ordinances to Provide for Additional Regulations for <br />Mechanical Parking. Attached as Exhibit "A ": Providing for an Effective Date. <br />Action: [City Clerk's Note: 9C & 9C.1 were heard together.] City Clerk Hines read the <br />title. <br />Vice Mayor Aelion moved and Commissioner Gatto seconded a motion to approve the <br />resolution. LPA Resolution No. 2013 -74 was adopted by a vote of 5 -0 in favor. <br />9C.1 An Ordinance of the City Commission of the City of Sunny Isles Beach. Florida; Amending <br />Chapter 265, Section 46 of the Code of Ordinances to Provide for Additional Regulations <br />for Mechanical Parking; Providing for Severability; Providing for Inclusion in the Code: <br />Providing for Repealer: Providing for an Effective Date. <br />(First Reading 02/21/13) <br />Action: City Clerk Hines read the title, and City Attomey Ottinot reported that the purpose <br />of this Ordinance is to enhance the safety of mechanical parking by prohibiting self - parking <br />and requiring annual safety inspections of such parking facility. He noted two minor changes <br />to the Ordinance: page 69 of agenda [page 2 of Ordinance], the platform is 7 -9' by 17' and it <br />should be replaced with 8' by 16'. Also bolt pans and drip trays should be replaced with <br />fully loaded platforms must be used for this purpose. <br />Public Speakers: None <br />Vice Mayor Aelion moved and Commissioner Gatto seconded a motion to adopt the <br />ordinance on second reading, as amended.
