Grandinetti, Police Captain <br />DATE: 4/18/2013 <br />RE: Approval to Purchase Seven (7) Police Vehicles, One (1) <br />Ocean Rescue Vehicle and all associated emergency <br />equipment and lighting, not to exceed $ 283,776.00 <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />It is recommended that the City Commission adopt the attached resolution authorizing <br />the City Manager to purchase four (4) V6 Dodge Charger Police Vehicles, three (3) V6 <br />Dodge Durango Police Vehicles, One (1) Ford F -150 Pick -Up, Ocean Rescue Vehicle <br />and all associated emergency equipment and lighting, not to exceed $ 283,776.00 <br />1:7�F��7:F3I <br />The Sunny Isles Beach Police Department rotates a portion of the police fleet annually <br />to assure the safety and reliability. of its equipment to our officers. Seven (7) of these <br />vehicles (Chargers & Durango's) will be purchased under the Florida Sheriffs <br />Association Contract# 12 -20 -0905 from Maroone of Pembroke Pines (Chargers) and <br />Beck Auto Sales, Inc. (Durango's). The remaining vehicle, One (1) Ford F150 Pick -Up <br />Truck would be purchased under the State of Florida Contract # 071- 000 -13 -1 from Don <br />Reid Ford, Inc. <br />ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: <br />All emergency equipment and lighting will be purchased and installed by Strobes -R -Us, <br />Inc. under a piggy -back of the City of Sunrise, contract# 11(06)- 01- 01- 01 -19 -W <br />Aprnda Item No. 10A <br />Date 4/18/2013 <br />80 <br />
